I’m trying out different water soluble markers – I experimented here with Arteza, Tombow, and Marabu.

The Arteza brushes were hard to work with and didn’t lay down much ink, but they blended out better than the Marabus.

The Marabu pens lay down ink well and the colors are nice, but I don’t understand how these are supposed to be water soluble.

I tried to get by with other pens because the Tombows are expensive to get the full set of colors. But, they lay down color well and blend out beautifully with color.

The girl’s face was a Tombow portrait set, and the Arteza pens were used for the hair simply because I had more colors available. The Marabus I didn’t bother using on this one.

I added details with a white gel pen.
